dear animate being,

welcome.

DAR (in Portuguese, "to give") invites artists and makers, devotees, dreamers, witches, weavers, shapeshifters, seers, poets, muses, dancers & creatures
to come together in collaborative co-creation of art and ritual as forms of re-membering and reverence to the realms of magic and mystery.

DAR is back for its third edition!

We will gather for 7 nights, from the 11th to the 18th of September.

Our focus for these days will be the WEAVING OF THE WORD: poetry as praise & prayer, invocation, incantation, storytelling, songwriting, shaping through language, spells of reverence & enchantment***, and, as ever, all creative/mystic mediums and practices are equally welcome and cross-pollination is encouraged!

The residency will be held at my farm in Alcácer do Sal. We have comfortable rooms, a beautiful large living space and kitchen at our disposal, ample surrounding land and a big outdoor roofed platform on which to expand our sacred play. There is also a pool!

This is a not-for-profit gathering with shared costs and shared care for communal spaces, meals and each other.

Towards the end of our immersion we will hold a ritual in communion with the mycelium to share and integrate the findings of our exploration.

An invitation -

to exalt and extol
the power of parlance,
to utter musings

and muster enchantment,
to claim composition
to cast and conjure,
by grace of wind compel
the will of word

to wish and worship,
to laud and lament,
to name and tend,
to bless and honour,

in exploration
of the oracular vernacular,
the fluency of faith,
to intimate and emanate,
to venerate and consecrate,
to divinate,

substantiate,
to celebrate and propagate
